The miniseries Tin Man premieres on December 2 at 9/8c. They’re billing it as “L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” that’s been “boldly reimagined for the new millennium”.
The miniseries is about a waitress named DG that gets thrown into The Outer Zone (O.Z.) by a tornado, where she meets:
- Tin Man, an ex-cop who was imprisoned in a metal suit forced to watch a holographic loop of his wife and child being abducted.
- Glitch, an inventor who had half his brain stolen while he was imprisoned.
- Raw, a half-human, half-wolverine psychic who lost his psychic powers
- Azkadellia, a sorceress who overthrew the queen of O.Z and now rules the dimension
I don’t think there’s going to be any middle ground on this one. Either it’s going to be a stinker, or it’s going to be great. I’m a bit worried about any show or movie that has a “a half-human, half-wolverine psychic” in it though.
